DOMANI HOMES FOUNDER BREAKS STEREOTYPE OF HOME BUILDER

Domani Homes, Inc. founder Chris Stack is as rare a commodity as is the attention to detail and superior customer service each Domani Homes client receives.

Stack has over 12 years of experience in Colorado’s homebuilding industry -- nine of those spent building homes for a major Colorado builder. Stack entered the competitive world of custom homes and remodeling 18 months ago and has already built and sold a home in the exclusive Bonnie Brae neighborhood and completed 5 remodels.

What makes Stack unique is her gender – Chris is short for Christine.

Born into a family of builders back east, homebuilding seemed a natural path to take. Moving into a male-dominated field, Chris knew she would really have to prove herself.

“I grew up in the homebuilding industry,” says Stack. Her father and brother have been in the business for more than 30 years. “In fact, my Dad made sure we all knew the right way to build --- he even made me tar a foundation with a roller when I was young (we don’t do that anymore!). His lessons stuck with me – whether you’re building a custom home or remodeling a kitchen – it’s all in the attention to detail.”

Stack’s most recent home was built to blend into the established Bonnie Brae neighborhood, while still offering all the luxuries of a new custom home like a double-sided energy efficient gas fireplace, which warms the newest trends in homes – the Hearth Room. “People love the hearth room concept,” explains Stack. “It’s a cozy room right off the kitchen where one spouse can read or chat as the other spouse makes dinner.”

Domani Construction builds with green products, too. “ I love Colorado and the outdoors,” says Stack. “By building with the environment in mind, I’m helping to preserve and conserve Colorado’s resources. It’s important to me.”

“There are women builders in this field, there just aren’t too many of us,” notes Stack. “I have a passion for building. There’s nothing like the smell of fresh drywall to me – it’s great!”

Stack graduated from the University of Denver’s well-respected Real Estate and Construction Management program. Domani Homes builds in Bonnie Brae, Wash Park, metro Denver, Centennial, Aurora, Parker and the DU neighborhood.
